Received this comment from Tom Ed. He's not able to post to the blog but wanted everyone one to know what he said.
"The group did an excellent job with the reunion and I do appreciate your efforts.
You can take the boy out of Gurdon but you will never take the memories of Gurdon out of the boy. That is the way I feel. Planning to retire somewhere in Arkansas hopefully."

I forgot to write down the names of everyone who wanted the picture of our second grade train ride so I sent it to everyone that was on my email listing. For those of you that I don't have email addresses for, I'm posting the picture here. If you want a copy but can't print it from the blog, mail me and I'll send it that way.
Gayle and I took her DVD and my slideshow to the media Center at HSU this week and the guy is going to combine them onto one DVD. Since this is holiday time, I have no idea how long it will take him to get back to us but we will get that to those of you who ordered one just as soon as we can.

It will have "The Class of 1967 Remembers" on it. They are going to make a walk way to auditorium with them. Also the pictures should be mailed out soon. Havent seen them yet, hope they are good. Lets keep in touch! Love ya, Lee

More Reunion Pics
Here's a few more pictures. Mary, Terry and Joe entertained us with some great singing! Although Randy Fain didn't get to attend the reunion, he has corresponded with some of us and sent pictures of him and his wife, Betty, so I'm including those as well.

Reunion Night October 18, 2008
Well, it's over! I hope everyone had a good time. It's was great to get to see everyone again and catch up on what's been going on in our lives over the past years. The Committee was pleased that so many classmates were able to attend. Some of us stayed so late that we had to be run out of the building! I will begin posting some pictures soon. I have made a slide show of the pictures I took and I know a slide show can be posted on a blog--if my feeble mind can just figure out how to do it! Until then, I will just post individual pictures. I'm sure some of y'all got some great pictures too and I will be glad to include them on the blog if you will email them to me at ghsclass1967@gmail.com or at my home email jlm1949@suddenlink.net.
Several of you asked about the picture on the cake of our train ride in the second grade. Not all of us have that picture so Gayle has said I could borrow hers to scan and I can email it to anyone who wants it. Just let me know.
We forgot t announce at the reunion that we had enough money left over to purchase a brick for the new auditorium. Gayle is coordinating that for us and will have it engraved to denote that it is in honor of our class. Once I get the exact wording that will be on the brick, I will post it on the blog.
Again, it was great to see everyone and stay in touch!!!

October 8 Meeting
Hey, guys! Doesn't appear anyone is reading this blog but I'll post anyway just in case. :) We had what is probably our final committee meeting last night. We still haven't heard from a lot of you but, as of last night, we are expecting around 55 people to attend the reunion. That includes class members and their guests. You still have time to respond and send in your money. If you decide at the last minute you want to join us, come ahead; there will probably be a few extra plates of food and you can pay when you get there.
We've had a lot of fun and laughs during our meetings reminiscing about the "olden days." It seems Mr. Cox has the memory of an elephant and we now know way more about some of you than we really care to know! Those of you who feel you may be the subject of his stories should seriously consider attending the reunion just to set the record straight.
Hope to see you soon!

September 14th Meeting
Time is getting closer and the reunion committee is working hard to finalize last minute plans for our reunion. We still hope to hear from some of you who may have either misplaced or just plain forgot to send in your forms/questionnaires! You know, at our age that is a real likelihood!!
Please make every possible effort to attend the reunion. We think you will be glad you did. We even talked our class president, Terry, into agreeing to sing some good old rock n' roll songs for us! We might even have to push back some chairs and make room for dancing! Can anyone still move well enough to do the twist! ha! Seriously, we think everyone will have a very good time. There are also plans to view a DVD that you won't want to miss (when we had heads full of un-greyed hair and no wrinkles). And, you will have an opportunity to get in on a class picture (or picture with a group of friends) with a cool '67 Ford convertible. Some of us have even located old scrapbooks with lots of interesting materials to be shared! Don't forget to bring any you might have to share.
Again, get those forms and money to us. It's not too late to make plans to attend. Remember, it will be an evening for renewing old friendships, enjoying good food, reliving old memories and making new ones!

August 18, 2008
Things are chugging right along but our time is running short. We hope to get letters out this week. There will be an attachment you will need to complete and return. If you plan to attend, please send your check to LeElna.
Begin gathering items you might like to share with everyone--scrapbooks, any pictures, articles, etc. If you have a scanner and would like to contribute to a video, please scan any pictures you have and email them to ghsclass1967@gmail.com.
There are still a few people we have no addresses for, so if you know how to locate them, just leave a comment on the blog or send an email to the address above. We still need information for Christie G., Jerry P., Jay H., Anita F., and Edward E.
The Committee is in the process of designing a keepsake placemat that will include information on all our classmates. This may help us keep in touch a little better until the next reunion. We may not want to wait another ten years--what do you think? The placemat will include your name, address, phone number(s), and e-mail addresses. If you prefer to not share some of this information, please let us know so we can revise the placemat before printing is complete.

More Reunion Information
Just a short post regarding time, place, etc.
October 17 & 18 - We will have a reserved block of seats for the homecoming game on the evening of the 17th. On the 18th, we will meet at the Municipal building at 4 p.m. for a "meet & greet and catch up on old times" gathering, followed by a sit down meal around 6:00 p.m. The meal will be catered by Fat Boys; more later regarding the menu.
Unless you want to volunteer to provide entertainment, we plan to just have recorded music that was popular during our high school days. So, if you have any requests, post a comment and leave the title and artist and we'll try our best to get it on the list.
More later, so keep checking!
